Weddings are always very beautiful but something about a wedding in a cathedral makes the ceremony even more breathtaking. I remember driving past the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in the heart of California and thinking how cool it would be to film a wedding there one day. So when Benny & Joanna reached out to us about getting married in the grandest cathedral in Sacramento, I agreed in a heartbeat. While chatting with the couple about their wedding details, it became very evident that Benny & Joanna are very madly in love. I found out that their love story started back in 2002 on Valentine’s Day when they were just 14 years old! How sweet is that? For 15 years, they dated and spent precious moments together until on Joanna’s 30th birthday, surrounded by both families, Benny finally popped the question! Of course Joanna said yes and they started planning a wedding. The couple wanted to choose a cathedral because they wanted to exchange their vows before God in an elegant and timeless setting. Joanna knew that a cathedral would give the perfect romantic feel for their wedding ceremony with its’ high ceilings and classic artwork. This challenged Benny, so he set out to find the greatest cathedral in Sacramento and when he found the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, he knew their wedding guests would be just as awed with the magnificent building. When I entered the building on their wedding day, I was taken back by the grandness of it all and I knew I needed to capture that into our film. I was so excited to finally film in this incredible sanctuary and I got right to work, making sure to get the finest details of their big day. Read more about this wedding. ...

Along with other cultures and religions, we have been filming a lot of Indian weddings lately. One of the most popular products that we have been producing is the Same Day Edit video. It is something the bride and groom anxiously wait for and the guests love watching a video that highlights and shows the story of a complete 5-day Indian wedding. It is definitely a stressful challenge and takes a lot of time, effort, and a great team. We at Aperina Studios are never afraid of challenges and so we again took on the challenge to produce another unique Same Day Edit video for our beautiful couple. Even though we have produced many SDE videos, we always try to make each one unique and tell the original story of each couple's wedding weekend. Here is what we saw through our lens while filming the beautiful wedding of Paramveer and Raman. The bride couldn't stop smiling while watching the video during the wedding reception, we hope you love it as much as she did. Enjoy this Indian Wedding Same Day Edit....

We have recently been filming more and more Indian weddings and by now we have really fallen in love with their colorful, rich culture. Then they pulled out a little bigger challenge out of their pockets...

We got an amazing chance to give back to the community and help create a video to help promote Missionary Gospel Church's Ministry. It was definitely a fun and inspiring video production project. We spent a few hours planning, a bunch of hours filming and then even more hours editing. Learn more. ...

This is Nik and Inna. Happy. And this is their wedding teaser.

Well of course, but what's cool is that we love filming weddings! Including this one. When I edited the first version of this teaser, I wasn't to happy. I didn't even want to post it online. So I waited couple days, and pulled off something I love. Totally starting from scratch, choosing a new song, and bringing couple new shots. After completing the teaser version 2, I was satisfied and here it is for you to enjoy. Enjoy and share!

February is a very risky month for those who want a sunny day wedding. Well, Friday, the day before the wedding, it poured rain all over Sacramento. Not the best weather before the wedding and surely didn't have me as excited for the next day. Waking up in the morning, I was expecting another rainy day wedding shoot, but I was wrong. It was clear skies. My dad walked in and asked for the keys to defrost my car, which I thought was nice. After the car was defrosted, I headed to Rancho Cordova, to the bride house, to start my filming. Arriving at the brides house, I walk and got to filming. Finding my self an unexpected wedding videographer. The brides little brother, who's name I can't remember, helped me film this wedding (at the brides house). Well he's 6 years old I think, but he "helped." He would watch me and follow the sequence that I pressed the buttons, therefore quickly caught on. That button is to make the screen turn on and that one makes the "red" dot go on so it's recording. Oh and the focus, you have to spin that round thing in the front and that makes the picture on the screen clear. So anyways, I walked away from the camera once and came back to him recording the bride. So I gave him credit in the post. Later on I realized that there was around 10 shots, 5 min each recorded by him. The kitchen table, the bride doing hair, the back yard, and so on. The bride was very relaxed all day and smiled a lot making it very comfortable and easy to film her. Once the groom came over we quickly got out of the house and headed to Old Sacramento for some wedding photos. Time was short as many brides don't realize you gotta give like 1 hr of free time in the morning because hair and make up will quickly use that free time up. We had around 45 minutes to have a photo session but I think I pulled of many of the shots that I wanted from the freezing February...
