I never start working on a film or wedding teaser if I don't have any inspiration. Usually it's from a song, sometimes from other things like movies (Shrek 4). This time, inspiration came very simply - through a txt message. My sister texted me a "very" cute song and it totally inspired me to start working on Vlad & Lily's wedding teaser. I had a different song in mind for Vlad and Lily, but "Rest Of My Life" by Bruno Mars took over my original plan and I had to edit the teaser to it. Many times I know what song I'll be using for a couple, but after studying the couple on their wedding day more closely, I realize I chose the wrong one. I try to choose a song to tell the couples story accurately. That's exactly what happened here and I believe this song choice is perfect for this wedding teaser.

Finally I get to film a wedding!  I had a little break after my wedding but I'm back to creating beautiful wedding films. Meet Alex and Natalia. A great example of a kind and loving couple. Their love is strong to each other and to God. Capturing their emotions and love was very pleasing as it was very natural and came from their hearts vividly.

I am happy to announce that on July 9, 2011, I married the most beautiful girl in the world, the girl of my dreams. Me and and Ilona fell in love couple years ago while going to the same church. Our relationship grew stronger and our story book became bigger and more interesting. We both wanted to tell/show our love story on our wedding day so our wedding guests would know more about us and our story together. To do that, we created our SDE (Same Day Edit). We are happy to present our SDE to you as well. While watching the SDE, look for the connections we created between our love story and the wedding day. Enjoy our story! While creating this video, Ilona and I thought of our true love story. Heading out to Folsom Lake two weeks before our wedding to film the first part of the video, we both admit, we were a little anxious. The night before, Ilona and I even practiced what we would say and even made a few note cards just in case our minds went blank. We wanted to talk about the time we met, our first date, the oh so romantic proposal, and a few other momentous details that led us up to the day we both say, “I do. On the wedding day, we had our camera crew film specific things to incorporate into the SDE. These small things made me and Ilona unique as a couple and we wanted that to be seen in the video. I looked through computer magazines and Ilona looked through wedding magazines to reveal our interests. The short clip of the bridesmaids cutting out letters in the magazines ties into the last shot, which says, “Vitaliy & Ilona, July 9th, 2011” with the letters that were cut out. We did this to add a crafty touch to the video because of Ilona’s love for scrap-booking. We also took moments from our relationship and made them real again on our wedding day. For example, you will notice that our relationship grew from the day...

The couple was very energetic and they didn't let the cloudy and rainy day get to them. Instead they like the idea that the pictures/video are going to be different than usual. Even though the photographer was in almost every shot we took we still managed to pull off the shots it needed to create their film. However, just to tease you a little, here is their wedding teaser! Enjoy and share!...

Eugene and Juliet are a warm lovely couple. Their wedding day let them express themselves and be so simple and elegant around the camera. My brother, Paul, helped me with this wedding filming and it definitely helped creatively wise. The couple helped us capture all the gorgeous shots we needed from them to create a stunning wedding film. So thank you Eugene and Juliet for letting us be part of your wedding day. :) I'll let you watch this short wedding cli...

We recently film a simple conservative wedding and would like to post the wedding teaser from it. The brides house was packed with a bunch of people but we were able to pull of the "getting ready" shots anyways. The couple were very simple and were very comfortable around each other. Once again it proves that couples that know each other well and are not awkward around each other on their wedding day get a better video/photos at the end of the day. I won't write much. Go ahead and enjoy the wedding teaser. ...

Roman and Irena didn't see each other before the wedding so it made it very elegant and emotional in the ceremony when he saw her for the first time in her wedding dress walking slowly down the aisle. The mom wiped her tears away as she gave away her daughter to the man that will be taking care of her baby from now on. Capturing the moments was a challenge outside and I believe we did an amazing job doing just that. The wedding presented itself with it's challenges. The sun hid behind clouds constantly forcing us to adjust our camera settings. However, we managed just fine. After enjoying some delicious food at the reception, we took the bride and groom for a walk on the golf field and that paid of so well that those shots ended up to be some of my favorite from this wedding....

This time I tried out couple new filming techniques and hopefully you like it. It's called stop-motion. I'll be experimenting with this technique for a bit and maybe it'll be our little signature move. Of course I'll be expanding this style to other parts of my filming. Go ahead and comment below with what you think about stop motion. Maybe go ahead and throw out some ideas and see them in our next teaser....

This wedding we decided to go FULL DSLR filming. No more hybrid or mixing lower sensor size cameras like our old Sony PMW-EX1r. So the morning, ceremony, and reception were all film on Canon 5D MII cameras. We still have the problem of guests thinking they are photo camera's and posing for us, but we think a big sign that says "this is a video camera, smile" will help that problem. :)...

Many of you have seen the demo that I posted couple days ago. Well the story doesn't stop there. After the leading art director at Opinionaided.com saw the demo, he gave me a nice compliment that if that was compared to an interview, I did well. Humbly, I accepted the compliment and accepted a short project to start my relationship with Opinionaided.com. The staff at the company wanted to create a short demo of their iPhone app but struggled not having the correct expertise. So they turned to me and offered me that small project explaining that this is literally a small part of what is awaiting me having a relationship with their company. I accepted and downloaded/opened up their App on my iphone to play around and learn it. Luckily, it's a very straight forward and simple app made to give opinions in real time. I gave it a try and to my surprise, I've received opinions from people almost instantly after posting a question online. Next day, Oleg (iPhone App developer) called me and said lets start working on the demo video. The connected me with Matt (Art Director) and we started discussing the idea and a bunch of details. 12 hours later they had a 5 second preview of my demo I've started working on. They loved it and that encouraged me to dedicate even more time into it. After three hard days of recording my iPhone screen via an app on my jail-broken iPhone (which you have to jailbreak if you wanna record the iPhone screen)  and drawing finger swipes in After Effects CS5, I had a pre-release version of the demo. After 13 revisions of the video we had a final Opinionaided Demo. Go ahead and view the demo below and after; dont forget to download the app via the app store. view this video on their website here: opinionaided.com/how-to/opinionaided-demo or here: [vimeo id="20942475" width="640" height="360"]   Website: opinionaided.com Twitter: twitter.com/opinionaided My Vimeo link to pre-release: http://vimeo.com/20819567...
