28 Apr An Elegant and Luxurious Indian Wedding – Harman & Navroop
Elegant, Cultured, Timeless – those are the words we would use when describing the pictures captured on Harman and Navroops wedding day. As an Indian wedding photographer, paying attention to the little details is especially important for such a colorful and intricate culture. Featured on the Crimson Bride, each detail of the wedding was beautifully shared creating an amazing story celebrating the journey of Harman and Navroop.
Harman and Navroop met each other through a set up planned by mutual friends. After meeting over a cup of coffee, they both quickly realized how perfect of a fit they were for each other and began dating. Harman, being the romantic, wrote down all of the many special moments they’ve shared in a notebook and asked Navroop to marry him. That same romance lived on as we photographed their wedding day.
Leading up to the big day, Navroop thought through every detail working jointly with jewellers to customly design each jewelry piece for every outfit. Together with We Do Designs, the wedding was filled with beautiful and unique moments that was a dream for an Indian wedding photographer to capture.
The festivities began with a beautifully decorated home Sangeet. Incorporating lots of rustic and moroccan elements, Navroop fit right into the theme wearing vibrant colors and beautiful jewelry. She wore a stunning blue and green Anita Dongre lehenga replete complemented with a large maang-tikka and beautiful earrings from Talwarsons Jewellers. Completing her look with a half-up half-down hairstyle and shimmery makeup, Maria made her a breathtaking bride.
Moving to the Chunni ceremony, we were in absolute awe of the beautifully decorated Gazebo at her home. Covered in gorgeous white and pink floral arrangements, the drapes, string lights, and wooden arch perfectly complemented our stunning bride. Navroop matched the color scheme with a beautiful peach sharara made by Pleated Couture and golden jhumkis from Talwarsons Jewellers.
The mehndi ceremony was especially amazing to photograph as Neeta Desai Sharma beautifully drew each and every detailed design on the bride. Here are a few of our favorite shots from this ceremony.
The wedding ceremony took place at Gurdwara Dashmesh Darbar in Sacramento where the bride and groom took their pheras amidst a beautifully decorated spring tea garden theme. Navroop looked elegantly royal in her heavily embellished Rimple & Harpreet Narula taupe lehenga, blush dupatta, and intricate mix of jewelry pieces from Nanak Jewellers. Harman perfectly complemented Navroop in a golden embroidered Sabyasachi achkan laden completed with a charming neckpiece by Nanak Jewellers.
Going out with a bang, the reception was hosted at the Sunrise Banquet Hall in Vacaville. This glamorous venue was beautifully decorated with lights, greenery and floral arrangements creating a classy and timeless setting to celebrate the bride and groom. An elegant loveseat surrounded by a hydrangea backdrop set the stage for a perfect photo session. For the last outfit of the day, Harman opted for a classic black tuxedo and bow tie while Navroop dressed in a royal blue Manish Malhotra ensemble with beautiful jewelry by Nanak Jewellers to tie the look together.
This Luxury Indian Wedding was a dream for me to capture and we were so honored to be featured on The Crimson Bride website. Additionally, I’d recommend for you to check out Harman and Navroop’s wedding Same Day Edit as well.
