A love bound by fate - such a beautiful sentiment to describe Jimmy and Irelia’s love story. Two friends who met at a milestone in their life were joined together by fate over the course of 8 years before finally realizing they wanted to spend forever with each other. Officially tying the knot at the breathtaking Chateau Carmel in Carmel Valley, California, this intimate Mexican wedding film will inspire you with culture, love, and breathtaking scenery. Jimmy and Irelia met for the first time in Vegas for their 21st birthday. Though the interaction was brief, their friendship continued through phone calls and emails for 8 years. As fate would have it, they reunited again in San Francisco during a Giants game and have been inseparable ever since. Dreaming of a destination wedding, the bride and groom originally planned to get married in Mexico, however due to Covid, they found the next best place- The Chateau Carmel. The Chateau Carmel is a breathtaking French inspired villa overlooking the entire Carmel Valley. Beautiful cypress trees line the entire drive up the villa to reveal a stunning patio area with gorgeous mountain and valley views. The ceremony decor for this Chateau wedding incorporated rich and vibrant colored florals that perfectly complemented the timeless architecture and greenery surrounding it. With stunning string lights, an outdoor pool, and a stone fireplace, this venue was the perfect place to host an intimate wedding. As wedding cinematographers, it means the world to us when the bride and groom trusts us with their special day. Not only were Jimmy and Irelia incredibly accommodating in allowing us the time to capture footage of them and of the venue, but they also trusted our guidance in recommendations for meaningful content throughout their wedding day. Noticing that the vows during the ceremony followed the traditional “I Do’s”, we recommended that the couple thank the guests for coming and also say something meaningful to each other at the end of the reception to create a deeper story for the wedding film. Driving to a wedding where we see beautiful rolling hills is amazing. We get excited because we know we will have stunning footage. We know we will have fun creating a wedding teaser! And we know that the wedding film will be simply amazing. At the end of the day when we were packing our bags with a flashlight, we knew 100% that we succeeded in filming that stunning footage. We were the best wedding videographers in Livermore, CA that day!

I am happy to announce that on July 9, 2011, I married the most beautiful girl in the world, the girl of my dreams. Me and and Ilona fell in love couple years ago while going to the same church. Our relationship grew stronger and our story book became bigger and more interesting. We both wanted to tell/show our love story on our wedding day so our wedding guests would know more about us and our story together. To do that, we created our SDE (Same Day Edit). We are happy to present our SDE to you as well. While watching the SDE, look for the connections we created between our love story and the wedding day. Enjoy our story! While creating this video, Ilona and I thought of our true love story. Heading out to Folsom Lake two weeks before our wedding to film the first part of the video, we both admit, we were a little anxious. The night before, Ilona and I even practiced what we would say and even made a few note cards just in case our minds went blank. We wanted to talk about the time we met, our first date, the oh so romantic proposal, and a few other momentous details that led us up to the day we both say, “I do. On the wedding day, we had our camera crew film specific things to incorporate into the SDE. These small things made me and Ilona unique as a couple and we wanted that to be seen in the video. I looked through computer magazines and Ilona looked through wedding magazines to reveal our interests. The short clip of the bridesmaids cutting out letters in the magazines ties into the last shot, which says, “Vitaliy & Ilona, July 9th, 2011” with the letters that were cut out. We did this to add a crafty touch to the video because of Ilona’s love for scrap-booking. We also took moments from our relationship and made them real again on our wedding day.
