Indian weddings are always a joy to film, but this Indian Wedding at Everline Resort & Spa in Lake Tahoe was truly something special. Over the course of two days, we had the incredible opportunity to capture a wedding full of love, vibrant traditions, and breathtaking scenery. From an unforgettable Haldi ceremony that ended in a splash to a romantic Vows exchange on the dock, every moment was pure magic.

A Haldi Ceremony That Took an Unexpected Turn

The wedding celebrations kicked off with the Haldi ceremony, a vibrant and joyful pre-wedding ritual where family and friends covered the couple in yellow turmeric paste. But what happened next was something none of us expected.

During lunch after the Haldi ceremony, we were casually chatting and tossing around ideas – wouldn’t it be cool if the groom washed off in the lake? It started as a fun idea, but one thing led to another, and before we knew it, the groom decided to just go for it. The plan was simple: he would jump in while the bride stood onshore, watching and laughing.

But as he took off running toward the water, something completely unexpected happened—the bride ran with him! She jumped right in alongside him! None of us saw it coming, and honestly, I was completely caught off guard. It was spontaneous, exhilarating, and an absolutely incredible moment to capture on film.

A Welcome Party to Remember

That evening, the celebrations continued with an elegant welcome party—a night filled with laughter and music. This wasn’t just any party; it was a beautifully planned event where the couple’s closest family and friends gathered to kick off the wedding festivities. The energy, the love, and the excitement in the air made for an unforgettable night.

A First Look & Vows by the Lake

The next day, before the wedding ceremony, we drove down to Lake Tahoe shoreline and the couple shared an intimate First Look and private Vows exchange on a dock overlooking Lake Tahoe. The moment was nothing short of cinematic—raw, emotional, and filled with love. As they stood together, surrounded by the peaceful water and crisp mountain air, it was clear that this was a moment just for them. As an Indian Wedding Videographer, it was breathtaking to witness and even more beautiful to capture on film.
