A Same Day Edit that transitions into a first dance with LIVE video. Both Rohan and Semmy didn't fully understand how we'll make it possible, but they gave me the "go ahead" as they knew they hired the best Bay Area Indian Wedding Cinematography team for their wedding. I automatically got excited, started testing equipment, bought adapters, bought wireless transmitters, bought more adapters and got super nervous. I knew that in order for the LIVE Same Day Edit to be epic, it has to be flawless and the bride and groom HAVE to still enjoy their first dance at the Grand Island Mansion. I wanted to make sure that the focus is still on the bride and groom, not on us. Before I jump into all the details, I want to tell you that it was amazing and everything worked. We were 100% spot on. The days were jam-packed and we required multiple teams filming at multiple location. Our last day was a 20 hour work day - crazy. Our team consisted of 7 guys, each pulling a part of the load to make the show possible. Through out the day, we copied the footage to fast SSDs (Samsung 2TB T3 SSD) and edited in Final Cut Pro X to make sure that my editing is fast and seamless. Additionally, I still wanted to include the Grand Entrance into the Same Day Edit. That meant collecting the cards from all recording camera and intricate editing right after the grand entrance to make sure we make it on time for the Same Day Edit premiere. But I want to pause here and point something out: we have done this before. Our team has pulled off Same Day Edits that include grand entrance shots that happened 15 minutes before showing of the SDE. Our challenge here was...

Especially when we plan a complicated Same Day Edit that requires our team to be on our tippy toes at all times to pull it off. An edit that is still in the editing process 15 minutes before "show-time." We challenged ourself to include the Grand Entrance and First Dance into the Same Day Edit and show our masterpiece 15 minutes after that all happened. Those 15 minutes are stressful, but rewarding when you see the couple smiling and surprised. It's a humbling and rewarding experience. I have many years of experience under my belt, however, each and every wedding I approach delicately and carefully. I prepare my team and myself for a challenge - we want to make sure we create an amazing memory and a masterpiece for each couple. Umang and Shivani's wedding was no exception. I met with Umang and Shivani a few weeks prior to their event, got to know them and their story a lot more, scouted the venue, talked in detail about their event and even chose the garage that I will be editing my Same Day Edit in. During the 3 days of wedding events, we filmed 96 hours collectively as a team capturing their beautiful wedding story. We challenged ourselves to include the couple's first dance into the Same Day Edit - something that was way too close to the premiere. I finished editing the Same Day Edit ten minutes before showtime in the little garage and took the exported file to the reception tent to play on the big screen. I'd love for you check out Umang and Shivani's Same Day Edit. We have recently been filming more and more Indian weddings and by now we have really fallen in love with their colorful, rich culture. When Arun & Nishi initially met with us and wanted to do a same-day-edit video for their reception, we were very excited for this challenge. Then they pulled out a little bigger challenge out of their pockets...

[vc_row css_animation="" row_type="row" use_row_as_full_screen_section="no" type="full_width" angled_section="no" text_align="left" background_image_as_pattern="without_pattern"][vc_column][vc_column_text]Starting out with the initial meetings to filming for 6 days and photographing for 7 days, our relationship with Mandeep and Roop was simply amazing. Over time we became really good friends and as the bride wrote to us after the wedding, we kind of became part of their family throughout all the events. That feeling made our job so much more enjoyable as we worked closely with them to make sure that we capture their special days with intricate attention to all the details that surround an Indian wedding. We brought home over 1TB of footage and over 21,000 photos in the end. It was a definitely a challenge in many aspects which made us try harder and be more creative, but we loved every second of it. I am very lucky to love what I do! Even though we had a busy schedule during the days of their events but my brother and I decided to surprise the couple and all the guests with a Same Day Edit video to show at their reception. The feedback we got was 'speechless'. Roop, Mandeep and many of the guests came up to us after the wedding reception and couldn't stop talking about the short film they just saw...

We were booked more than 18 months before the wedding and by the time the wedding came, we've gotten to know them so well that we consider them our friends. We worked with them a few times before the wedding, filming their love story and a few more things in Sacramento. Getting to know them on a personal level made me understand again how important it is to know our clients on a personal level and not just a "professional" level. It allows us to be a little bit more involved in the wedding and create a beautiful film. Mark and Lynelle really wanted a Same Day Edit so that the wedding guests can get to know them and their story a little bit more. As a leading Sacramento wedding videography company, we were able to pull that off really well. We were set to show the Same Day Edit at 8:30pm. I started editing the SDE at 4pm at Wine and Roses Hotel. Around 6:30pm, I was basically done. I've never finished a Same Day Edit that fast! I spent an extra 45 minutes Color Grading and tweaking the Same Day Edit. It was time to show what our team has been working on all day and I was nervous (for no reason). I pressed play and watched the bride and groom tear up from joy and laughter while watching their story. I knew I have created a memory for them and their guests. It was a really humbling experience for me and my team. I do want to thank the Bride and Groom for giving me the opportunity to create their Wedding Story for them. I would also like to thank my awesome cinema team. Without them, the Same Day Edit would not be possible. My brother and I strongly believe in constantly improving and modernizing our company to provide the best service and the most beautiful final product we can to our lovely couples. Two weeks before filming Jared & Sarah's wedding at the beautiful Scribner Bend Vineyards, we spontaneously invested into a DJI Phantom Drone and got it delivered a couple days before the wedding. We quickly tested it out and got a hang of it in time for the wedding, where we flew it into the sky to create beautiful aerial shots of the gorgeous vinery :) Aerial shots aren't the only unique thing we did for this couple. I actually flew out to Denver, CO a couple months before the wedding to film Jared & Sarah's love story and to show a tiny glimpse of their new hometown of Denver in their Same-Day-Edit video. On the day of the wedding, my brother Vitaliy quickly edited the video while our team and I filmed and constantly delivered our media cards full of creative shots to him to put together and have a video ready to show by 8pm. With the amount of excited and positive feedback we got from numerous guests coming up to us after the wedding, I believe we did what Jared & Sarah hired us to do: tell the story of their love through our lens in a creative and beautiful film. Let us tell your wedding story!...

Five days, endless ceremonies and rituals. We were simply amazed by the beauty and majesty of this Indian Wedding. We have filmed many elaborate and fancy weddings, but nothing comes close to the decadence and attention to detail as an Indian wedding. No wonder it requires not one or two days, but more than five days to fit all the ceremonies and rituals in. For this same day edit, our goal was to make a 3 minute film jam-packed with emotions and stories. We wanted our audience to feel like they were present at all the days of the wedding, knowing everything that went on, even if they were never there. Of course, if they were not there, they were missing out on one heck of a party. Music, dancing, great ethnic food, and a beautiful bride and groom to top things off. We loved filming every aspect of the wedding, especially the reception. It was evident to all, that this couple was truly in love with one another. It was an honor capturing their special bond and being part of their BIG day. The groom's brother, Ankesh, convinced the family that they should hire Aperina Studios over any other Indian wedding videography company as he believed that we will tell the wedding story from a fresh and unique perspective. After the wedding, we had many guests come up encouraging us and telling us that we did an amazing job. It was a humbling experience. Arriving at the Reception venue to edit the Same Day Edit, I already knew that I will need to make it longer than the originally planned 3 minutes. Once again, I edited in Final Cut Pro X, honestly, the best editing software out there. It was flawless and blazing fast! I finished editing a few hours, before out 8pm deadline, So I color graded and even added a few more recent shots into it. It was a blast showing the Same Day Edit wedding to the guesst. And now to you! Enjoy Parminder and Manpreet's Same Day Edit! Carlos and Victoria initially did not want to have video for their wedding. All wedding videos they saw before made them not want one for their wedding, but seeing a Same Day Edit on a friends wedding, they realized that they wanted it too. So they booked me 4 weeks before the wedding with a Same Day Edit. I was excited to do a Same Day Edit for them. I met up with the lovely couple at Starbucks where we talked a little and got to know each other. Listening to their funny story, I realized that their wedding is simply going to be fun and energetic. It was exactly that. I love doing Same Day Edits. They are stressful, they are hard, you get headaches, you barely eat, but best of all - the reactions from the bride, groom and the guests are totally worth it. Because the the morning prep, ceremony and reception were in different location, I was worried that I might not have enough time to edit. I left in the middle of the ceremony to the reception venue - copying cards to my MacBook on my way. Arriving at the beautiful Venue, I got straight to work. I knew that show time was at 9pm and I had less than 4 hours to edit. I simply spent the first 45 min. organizing all the footage. I usually get straight to editing, but I knew that organization will allow me to find shots 4x faster. I was editing away in Final Cut Pro X ( I love FCP X - It did not crash once!). At 8:15, my edit was completed. I set the Same Day Edit to Export, grabbed a camera and helped my team film fire dancers and fireworks. I was excited for show time! At 9:00pm, we dimmed the lights and pressed play! A few seconds into the film, I knew everyone loved it. Especially the bride and groom. I hope you also enjoy it! Remember that this was edited on the wedding day and shown on the wedding reception. It's an awesome experience! ENJOY! Reception: Grand Island Mansion Cinematography: Aperina Studios...

I am happy to announce that on July 9, 2011, I married the most beautiful girl in the world, the girl of my dreams. Me and and Ilona fell in love couple years ago while going to the same church. Our relationship grew stronger and our story book became bigger and more interesting. We both wanted to tell/show our love story on our wedding day so our wedding guests would know more about us and our story together. To do that, we created our SDE (Same Day Edit). We are happy to present our SDE to you as well. While watching the SDE, look for the connections we created between our love story and the wedding day. Enjoy our story! While creating this video, Ilona and I thought of our true love story. Heading out to Folsom Lake two weeks before our wedding to film the first part of the video, we both admit, we were a little anxious. The night before, Ilona and I even practiced what we would say and even made a few note cards just in case our minds went blank. We wanted to talk about the time we met, our first date, the oh so romantic proposal, and a few other momentous details that led us up to the day we both say, “I do. On the wedding day, we had our camera crew film specific things to incorporate into the SDE. These small things made me and Ilona unique as a couple and we wanted that to be seen in the video. I looked through computer magazines and Ilona looked through wedding magazines to reveal our interests. The short clip of the bridesmaids cutting out letters in the magazines ties into the last shot, which says, “Vitaliy & Ilona, July 9th, 2011” with the letters that were cut out. We did this to add a crafty touch to the video because of Ilona’s love for scrap-booking. We also took moments from our relationship and made them real again on our wedding day. For example, you will notice that our relationship grew from the day Ilona gave...
