06 Apr Rainy Day: Serge & Vita Wedding Teaser
Rain always brings trouble to the camera men! One more task added. Keep the camera dry or else… or else you wont be having a camera to be filming with.
The rainy Sunday morning, we arrived at the brides house full of energy and ready to enjoy the 14 hour shift. The rain didn’t stop us from having fun. Leaving to downtown Sacramento, we found cover under a Health Department building on Capitol Ave. and 15th St. This served as a good shelter and of course nice pictures. Because of the rainy day, we had no problem with shadows so the imagery turned out really nice. The bride and groom were very comfortable with each other so that served us well into capturing their emotions.
This wedding we decided to go FULL DSLR filming. No more hybrid or mixing lower sensor size cameras like our old Sony PMW-EX1r. So the morning, ceremony, and reception were all film on Canon 5D MII cameras. We still have the problem of guests thinking they are photo camera’s and posing for us, but we think a big sign that says “this is a video camera, smile” will help that problem. :)
